INVESTIGATION: CALIFORNIA
The Crazy Horse Landfill has been in operation since the mid-1930's and has been the focus of contamination issues since the late 1970's.
3TM Consulting was retained by council representing neighbors of the landfill to conduct a subsurface soil and groundwater investigation to determine impacts to potable groundwater aquifers.
Following a permitting process with defendants and public agencies, which included comprehensive work plans, safety plans, and sediment and pollution prevention plans, four groundwater monitoring wells were installed to depths ranging from 160 to 220 feet.
